The office celebrated Zainab's birthday yesterday, 14 July. She claims she's 17 - ah well... we gave her the benefit of the doubt! Rose and I decided to strike a pose for photographer Suneet and I took the opportunity to show off my new hair-style as well :-)

Biker Boy!
This is it! Terence and I decided that Gideon should get a little more sporty - get out in the sun, swim more often, do the stuff that big BOYS do... killing Droids and monsters on the XBox isn't exactly my idea of being "active". I chanced upon a programme last evening and caught a 6 year-old boy doing some amazing bicycle stunts. Hmmm... perhaps we should get him a real bike and get him started. So off we went and got him a bike with brakes and a bell this evening! The little monster was not too thrilled in the beginning but got a hang of it and spent almost an hour at the basketball court. Think he feels kinda like a big boy now? I wonder if he'll still cry in school on Monday...
90-Hour Music Marathon
In celebration of Paya Lebar MGS' 90th anniversary, the school put together a music marathon last weekend - every class put together a singing performance - lasting all of 90 solid hours at Millenia Walk. We decided to lend our support to Sophil on Sunday (Dezarae performed on Saturday and didn't want us to go ;-(
It was a Sunday get-together with a difference... and no prizes for guessing who had the most wonderful time!

Sunday Pleasures
It's funny how the hustle and bustle of work and family take its toll on you - and when Sunday comes, all you look forward to is the bliss of spending time with mum, sis, Alice che, the kids and Nick ker, over dinner and kopi in the patio. I never say it and they may not know - but I really treasure such Sunday pleasures. I thought these moments should be captured and decided to render the assistance of my new personal photographer, Gideon. The result :
Looking forward to including pictures of the rest of the brood - Sophil, Dazarae, Nicole, Ian and Joel... Oh come to think of it, Gideon did take a shot of Joel :

Three-at-One
It has become a yearly affair, it seems, celebrating Eugene's, Chris' and Minyi's birthdays all at one time. This year, we decided on One Rochester (or rather Da Paolo www.dapaolo.com.sg at Rochester Park after some good reviews of the place). The restaurant was kinda noisy since we were all seated in an enclosed area upstairs. The kids with us of course added to the din and I guess I wouldn't be too happy if I were one of the couples there trying to have a romantic dinner :-) Food was so-so. The Foie Gras was fabulous while main courses mediocre. Service has a long way to go if you ask me, but the ambience and company made up for all the flaws.
Gideon was at it again - taking over the camera! But then, these shots aren't half-bad... Russell Wong or Wee Khim in the making???
Gideon shared some kodak moments with Erin. It was hilarious when he kissed her on the lip, leaving Erin simply stunned!
It was a wonderful evening as with all our dinners with "the gang". Happy Birthday Guys (and Gal)!
