There was going to be 2 celebrations - one in school and one at my mum's home (mum has a large garden for the Siths and Jedi(s) to fight in).
Check out the girl on Gideon's left, that WAS his gal, Su Mei. He's had a change of heart and is now wooing Elizabeth (1st on his right). Poor Su Mei, all her effort consoling him as he cried during the first couple of months at school!
It was THE day on 29 April when his Star Wars bash in Pasir Ris, my mum's place finally happened! After 2 months of planning - from searching for his Jedi costume, to finding a funny magician with a face that doesn't make the kids cry. The kids were encouraged to dress up. We saw 2 Darth Vader(s), 2 Jedi(s) and one angel (hmm... that one we still can't locate on Naboo).
The magic and balloon shows were a blast with the kids (and some adults, I was sure). It was good enough to make them put down their light sabers and we almost had PEACE for 45 mins!
The adults were equally immersed in the action!
Then came the birthday cake - nothing less than a Star Wars figurine cake from www.ecreative.com.sg. Great chocolate sponge cake that comes with the figurines!
And finally the mountain of presents which kept the birthday boy awake till midnight!
