Photos of Christmas 2005

Just some of the many memories of a very enjoyable evening! Our great pals, the big boys and the small boys...

Christmas 2005

We had a great Christmas 2005 at Vino Vino, M'hmd Sultan. Thanks to Rena, as usual, who's always the one organising such gatherings of the "gang". Dinner was so so but the company was of course great fun! We have fewer of such gatherings ever since the group's status matured from "single" to "married". Such occasions are always looked forward to... The only 2 kids who "survived" the evening were again Russell and Gideon, who managed to party till almost 2am! Gideon, I suspect, was a little high from the sips of champagne. I suppose this year's Christmas is going to be even more exciting with some new additions, perhaps?

School Blues

Ee Jin sent me a photo of Gideon and myself on our way to her ROM at Flutes at the Fort. Such a nicely taken picture of me looking like a Tai Tai while Gideon looked in awe and oh so handsome (to me, of course).

I wonder at times if my expectations of Gideon are a little too superficial? I always point out a really cute guy and ask him, "Isn't he handsome? Will you be so handsome when you grow up?" Funny thing is, I never have any other expectations, really, of him. I don't have aspirations of him becoming some great lawyer, minister or plastic surgeon. Still, I never stop wondering what will he become by the time I'm 40 or 50!?

School hasn't been a bed of roses for him and I've given up all hopes of him not crying when I leave him at school every morning. Just last week, his teacher told me she had put a classmate of his, Su Mei, in charge of him. Amazingly, he has stopped crying - BUT on condition that Su Mei has to hold his hand! He sure lives up to his name-sake : one of God's warriors in the old testament who had 11 wives! For now, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that Su Mei doesn't get sick (or pissed) with him, for sticking around her all the time!

For all the tears and fears, I love Gideon to death! I do hope to be around posting his graduation & wedding photos when the time comes!

And to Ee Jin, who may pop by to read this new hobby of mine - gear up for some Baby Blues in the coming year... you'll LOVE it!
